Jamie T presents a playlist of songs that feature rivers of all shapes and sizes in an attempt to prove how important they've been to songwriters throughout musical history. Featuring Lindisfarne, Charles Watson, Madness and, of course, The Clash.

Between tracks Jamie makes his case for how and why rivers are so important to musicians and songwriters, as well as how trying to cover a Charles Watson track led to him writing his own song The Terror Of Lambeth Love, his use of a Tom Waits song to write his own river-themed track and he ranks his top three river-based tunes of all time.

Presenting his first ever radio shows for this series on 大象传媒 Radio 6 Music, Jamie began his career playing his acoustic bass guitar around Wimbledon in the 2000s. He released his first album, Panic Prevention, in 2007, and quickly gained widespread popularity and acclaim thanks to tracks like If You've Got the Money, Sheila and Calm Down Dearest. In 2022, he released his fifth record, The Theory of Whatever, and it proved his longevity by the record becoming his first to top the UK Albums Chart. He also headlined Glastonbury's John Peel Stage in June and went on the road in November for an 11-date sold out UK tour.
