Lissie is a singer songwriter from Illinois. Having opened for Lenny Kravitz on his Love Revolution tour in 2008, she released her debut studio album Catching a Tiger in 2010. This was followed by three more albums, all of which reached the UK top 20.

In her fifth and latest album Carving Canyons, which was released in September of last year, Lissie focuses on finding an inner strength to face the uncertainties of the future and to battle personal and social adversity no matter how tough those challenges appear to be. The album includes singles Night Moves, Flowers, Sad and Chasing the Sun.

Lissie plays a sofa session for Jo, as well as telling her all about her process, and picking some tracks that influenced her along the way.
