Old Crow Medicine Show started out busking on street corners in 1998, from New York state through Canada, delighting audiences along the way with their energy and spirit. They eventually found themselves in Boone, North Carolina where they caught the attention of folk icon Doc Watson while playing in front of a pharmacy. He invited the band to play at his own festival, MerleFest, and finally they were on their way. Over the past 20 years, with their old-time string band sound exploring and reinventing hillbilly, bluegrass and folk, Old Crow Medicine Show has gone from playing on street corners to being inducted as members of the Grand Ole Opry, and winning and Grammy Awards.
