Sol Gabetta plays Elgar鈥檚 Cello Concerto with the 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra
Dalia Stasevska conducts the 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra in Elgar's Cello Concerto, with Sol Gabetta, Sibelius's First Symphony and Iain Farrington's musical celebration of the 大象传媒, A Party with Auntie.
The 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra and their guest principal conductor Dalia Stasevska bring you an evening of stirring and poignant music from the Barbican in London. Starting with Elgar鈥檚 hauntingly beautiful Cello Concerto, performed by multi-award-winning Argentine cellist Sol Gabetta, the evening culminates in Sibelius鈥檚 electrifyingly stormy First Symphony.
In between, there鈥檚 a surprise in store. The orchestra performs A Party with Auntie, a piece written by Iain Farrington to celebrate the 大象传媒鈥檚 100th anniversary that features no less than 15 大象传媒 theme tunes hidden within Iain鈥檚 own original music.
