The Revd. Kate Bottley hosts an evening of music, personal stories and reflections to mark Good Friday.

The themes that surround Jesus鈥� death on the cross, before his ultimate resurrection, are universal; we all experience grief, loss, love and hope. Revd. Kate will meet people whose own experiences of loss have inspired them to make a change in their own lives, impact the lives of others, or to find comfort in faith and hope for the future.

There will be specially recorded gospel music from The Spirituals, including Something Inside So Strong and an original track, The Crucifixion, based on the hymn Were You There (When They Crucified My Lord). There will also be contemporary Christian music from Elle Limebear, and choral music recorded by this year鈥檚 Young Chorister of the Year, Naomi, including When I Survey the Wondrous Cross. The programme will also have moving, inspiring music from a range of classic artists such as Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin. Plus, there'll be a poem reflecting on Hope In Grief from Jay Hulme.

Kate鈥檚 guests include Still Shadey, the rapper and latest winner of the Best Gospel Act at the Mobos, who found faith after losing a friend to gang violence and transformed his own life and works to inspire young people away from gang culture; Kwajo Tweneboa, a social housing activist whose work to improve the poor condition of housing for tenants began after seeing his dying father being nursed in a vermin-infested flat; Louise Pentland, the author and vlogger who shares how her experience of losing her mum at an early age affected her life and how she came to find comfort in her faith; and Shermara Fletcher, the young church leader who read a prayer at Queen Elizabeth's funeral, whilst mourning the loss of her own grandmother.
