The Love Song and Kelly Jones

Stereophonics Kelly Jones - currently playing with side project Far From Saints - chooses his penultimate Tracks of My Years. Plus, music quiz Ten to the Top is back at 10:30.

Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones - currently working with Patty Lynn and Dwight Baker from The Wind & The Wave on new side project Far From Saints - chooses his penultimate Tracks Of My Years.

Formed in the village of Cwmaman in the Cynon Valley, Wales, Stereophonics are now 31 years, 12 albums and over 10m records into their career, and have established themselves as one of Europe's best loved bands with songs like Dakota, Bartender & The Thief and Just Lookin'.

Away from the band, Kelly released a solo record in 2007 called 'Only The Names Have Been Changed', and is currently part of the side project Far From Saints. Having gelled when touring on Kelly's last solo tour, Kelly, Patty and Dwight decided to start writing songs. Having committed to working on a project together, they booked two sessions, one at the end of each leg of the tour, and completed the album in just nine days! Taking in elements of country, rock, folk, soul, and Americana, Far From Saints’ self-titled debut album is released on 16th June.

Kelly's Penultimate choices are from Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello.

Plus Gary's got another edition of Radio 2’s new mid-morning music quiz Ten To The Top; there's Tracks Of My Years, The Love Song messages and the Record and Album Of The Week.
