Carlos Acosta, Marie-Ange Nguci

With Sean Rafferty, the Director of Birmingham Royal Ballet, dancer and choreographer Carlos Acosta talks about the launch of BRB2, and young pianist Marie-Ange Nguci perfoms live.

One of the leading dance companies in the UK, Birmingham Royal Ballet launches a new initiative, BRB2, which aims at promoting a new generation of dancers by giving them professional opportunities to take part in national productions. As BRB2's inaugural tour is travelling across the UK - in Northampton, Nottingham, Peterborough, London and Wolverhampton - the Director of the Birmingham ballet company joins Sean Rafferty.

A prodigy, virtuoso, rising-star... These are some of the terms frequently used in the press to describe young French-Albanian pianist Marie-Ange Nguci. At age 16, she had already obtained, with distinctions, her diploma from the prestigious Paris Conservatoire, in which she had been accepted three years before. Also playing the organ and the cello, she has already released an album, 'En Miroir', in 2018 (Mirare). As she is about to perform with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, she joins the 'In Tune' studio for some live performance.
