Episode 15
Nigel Havers hosts as five dealers bid to buy items brought in by the public, including a pottery wheel, a transforming tea stand and a set of porthole mirrors.
Nigel Havers welcomes five more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.
First through the doors is Cubby, with a pedal-spinning pottery wheel that he got from an old lock-keeper's cottage. He paid 拢70 for it and is sure he can turn a big profit when he meets the dealers.
Maurizio wants to sell a chrome-plated mid-century lamp that he bought online. Designed by Studio Tetrarch and from Milan, it鈥檚 an iconic piece. Maurizio thinks it has the wow factor, and he wants 拢500. Will the dealers be impressed enough to pay that much?
Next to face the dealers is Hayley, with a space-saving object that is perfect for parties. This folding wooden tea table is functional and great for displaying cakes. Nigel has a plan to sweeten the deal with the dealers, but will it pay off for Hayley?
Next up is Simon, with a decorative pot he bought for a couple of pounds. This Edouard Rambaud 1980s trinket box has decorative appeal, but can he make enough profit to fix the roof of his car?
Lastly, Sue has brought in three 1950s porthole mirrors that she has collected from car boot sales. With no space in her home to house them, she鈥檚 hoping the dealers will want them. Can their great condition help her sail towards a big profit?
Today's dealers are Tash, Adi, Ian, Jane and JB.
