Paul Lewis plays Schubert
Three sonatas by Franz Schubert played by the celebrated British pianist, recorded at Wigmore Hall in London, presented by Hannah French.
Three important works from Schubert鈥檚 output. D664 is one of the shortest of the series, and one of the sunniest. When posthumously published in 1861, the incomplete D840 was named 鈥楻eliquie鈥� 鈥� meaning 鈥榬elic鈥� 鈥� as it was (incorrectly) supposed to be the composer鈥檚 final work; the A minor D845 is one of several that postdate it.
