The coronation ceremony is full of pageantry, music and celebration, but it鈥檚 also a solemn, religious ceremony and hasn鈥檛 changed much for over a thousand years.
For the last 900 years, the ceremony has taken place at Westminster Abbey and has been led by the Archbishop of Canterbury since the Norman Conquest in 1066.
As part of his coronation ceremony, King Charles, like all sovereigns before him, will take the Coronation Oath.
