We’re celebrating Record Store Day by digging deep into the world of vinyl with this five-part podcast series, which is our love letter to record shops, their staff and their loyal customers. In each episode, we’re joined by a trusted guide who takes us on a unique guided tour of their hometown, meeting the legendary characters who keep record stores alive and play such an important – and often underrated – role in UK Music. In this episode, Gruff Rhys heads around his hometown of Cardiff, home of the world's oldest record shop. He also takes a trip to Kelly's Records and Flipside.
