A Great Escape Festival Special

Steve has live music recorded last night at the 6 Music / 大象传媒 Music Introducing night at the Great Escape - from Whitelands, Divorce, Vlure and The Goa Express.

Steve Lamacq has highlights from last night's 6 Music / 大象传媒 Music Introducing showcase at the Great Escape Festival in Brighton.

Now in its 18th year, the Great Escape is THE festival in the UK for new music, showcasing 500 emerging artists from all over the world, in over 30 venues across the city, as well as a pop-up festival site on Brighton Beach. Last night, 4 artists played live for a showcase night curated by Steve, and we have tracks to play out from.

Whitelands - West London four-piece, supported by Jess Iszatt in 大象传媒 introducing in London鈥� you will have heard their current single 鈥楽etting Sun鈥� on the 6 Music playlist.

Divorce - Nottingham four-piece, supported by Dean Jackson in 大象传媒 introducing in East Midlands.

Vlure - Glasgow punk band, supported by Phoebe I-H and Shereen Cutty in 大象传媒 introducing in Scotland.

The Goa Express 鈥� Our headliners hailing from Burnley and Todmorden, supported by Emily Pilbeam in 大象传媒 introducing in West Yorkshire.
