The 'Bready Bandit' texts with a question for Sean which opens a floodgate of memories.
"Mr. Coyle - did anybody ever say to you when you were younger..."That's only lent to you boy!" or "You're only laughing at your own ignorance!" , you never hear these sayings anymore" texts the 'Bready Bandit'.
"Oh yes" says Sean.
Sean remembers the saying from his youth "I'll open the floodgates of my intelligence and wash you away in the waters of your ignorance".
Then Sean can hear his mother saying to him "That's only lent to you boy!" after he refused to take one of the grandchildren up to the park when they were bored in the house.
"I wish I could turn back the clock and take him to the swings" sighs Sean and then he calls the Bready Bandit a rascal for reminding him of that saying.
Music by Alvin Stardust, Wilson Pickett, Tony Orlando, Roy Orbison, Ben E King, and more.
