Suggs from Madness chooses his Tracks of My Years

Making your mid-mornings memorable, Vernon's back with more big tunes, plus he's joined by Suggs with two more Tracks of My Years. And don't forget: Ten to the Top is back at 10:30.

Making your mid-mornings memorable, Vernon's bringing big tunes, big names and big laughs to weekdays.

Joining Vernon all week as his Tracks of My Years guest is Suggs from Madness, who'll be taking us on a ten-song journey through his colourful life. His two selections today come from Ian Dury and The Specials.

As well as mid-morning favourites such as Tracks of My Years, Ten to the Top and the Record and Album of the Week, Vernon will also have a few new surprises of his own!

Plus, in the first few weeks of his new show Vernon will welcome two new Radio 2 Piano Room performances. Def Leppard will perform on Thursday 18 May and Noel Gallagher鈥檚 High Flying Birds on Thursday 1 June, both accompanied by the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra.

Already familiar to Radio 2 listeners in recent years covering for The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, Steve Wright in the Afternoon, Rylan on Saturday and Dermot O鈥橪eary, Vernon also presents Dance Sounds of the 90s on 大象传媒 Sounds and Radio 2. Vernon kicked off his radio career at Radio 1 from 2004鈥�2012, where he presented Saturday and Sunday mid-morning shows. From 2015鈥�2017, Vernon presented the mid-morning show on Radio X.

A regular face on TV for the past 20 years, Vernon has presented a variety of programmes including All Star Family Fortunes (ITV) Formula E coverage (C4) T4 (C4) This Morning (ITV) and numerous game shows for ITV including Vernon Kay鈥檚 Gameshow Marathon, Drive and Splash! He also came third when a contestant on I鈥檓 a Celebrity鈥� Get Me Out of Here in 2020.
