Skin and Grove share their musical influences, passions and lives as they kick off 6 Music's Loud and Proud season, celebrating LGBTQ+ voices throughout June.

As the frontwoman of Skunk Anansie, Skin was the first black woman to headline the Glastonbury Festival's Pyramid stage in 1999. The band, who formed in 1994, have sold millions of records worldwide, including the singles 'Weak' and 'Charity', and albums such as 'Paranoid and Sunburnt' and 'Stoosh'. A trailblazing singer and songwriter, Skin is also an electronic music DJ. The perfect person to pair with musician and producer Grove, a non-binary artist and producer based in Bristol who burst onto the scene with their debut EP 'Queer + Black'. Their music is deep, dark and heavy. Singles 'SKIN2SKIN' and 'Feed My Desire' have been playlisted by 6 Music.

The pair, who have never met before, share a wide range of music from FKA twigs to Grace Jones and Talking Heads to SOPHIE. Expect lots of great tunes, revelations and laughs!
