It's a collection of songs that move across the sonic landscape to take you away to distant lands. So expect some Norwegian experimental jazz, a burst of Finnish shoegaze and a sprinkling of progressive bluegrass. Plus tunes from Matmos, Talk Talk and Anna Meredith,
Irish born, Edinburgh based Sam Healy formed North Atlantic Oscillation back in 2005., and released their debut album Grappling Hooks in 2010. Their first album in five years United Wire came out in May. They are named after a large-scale atmospheric pressure see-saw in the North Atlantic region.... but you knew that already.
