New research from Pregnant Then Screwed suggests 32% of UK parents say childcare over the summer costs the same or more than what they earn.
In addition, analysis from Spare My Time, a personal assistant company, suggests UK families spend an average £2,200 per year paying for one child’s care during school holidays throughout the year, with the cost of childcare per week during the summer holidays coming in at £142.68 for Scottish parents.
