Steve Lamacq continues his Summer Soundclash series by taking on Nick Cope from the brilliant 大象传媒 Cbeebies show Nick Cope's Popcast

Part 2 of Steve Lamacq's Summer Soundclash series and today Steve takes on a guest who no doubt has the younger demographic on his side, as we welcome Nick Cope from the brilliant 大象传媒 Cbeebies show Nick Cope's Popcast to the Soundclash.

Nick's brilliant cbeebies programme usually sees him, alongside his whippet Norman looking for ideas for a new Popcast song as his quirky caravan is transported to a different location. Taking inspiration from his new surroundings and with the help of 鈥淭he Popcasters鈥�, a team of young children (including Nick鈥檚 real life grandson Remie) who give Nick ideas and themes for him to sing about, Nick sits down to write a song.

Nick Cope has been writing and recording songs for children and their families for over 10 years. He performs with his guitar and animations to sell-out crowds all over the country. He has fans from all over the UK, which has grown due to the success of his CBeebies show Nick Cope鈥檚 Popcast. Nick performs all over the UK at theatres and art centres and at many of the established art, music and literary festivals including the Edinburgh fringe and book festival. He was also the lead singer of The Candyskins in the 1990s.
