Conor explores intergenerational trauma and how it manifests in a post-conflict society through the experiences and creative writings of Scr铆bhneoir铆 an tSl茅ibhe, a Belfast based creative writing group set up to tackle mental health problems faced by members of the community. Conor aims to expand on his own understanding of the society he grew up in to help him work towards his ambition of becoming a writer.

This episode features Fionnuala N铆 Mheall谩in, writer and a primary school teacher working in the Irish medium sector with a particular interest in drama and music. She was raised through Irish in Belfast and some of her family were involved in the establishment of the Shaw鈥檚 Road, west Belfast urban Gaeltacht.
