Sibelius's Symphony No 2 in D, Op 43

Penny Gore introduces a recent concert recording of Sibelius' Symphony No. 2, a happy piece by the Finnish master of the symphony, with the NDR Philharmonic Orchestra under Jukka-Pekka Saraste.

Also today, the 大象传媒 Singers celebrate Black History Month, the Solem Quartet play music by Florence Price, and the 大象传媒 Philharmonic perform Gershwin's Cuban Overture. And Javier Perianes continues his homage to fellow Spaniard and master of the piano, Alicia de Larrocha, recorded at La Alhambra Palace in Granada.
