The Grundys have the rug pulled from under them, and Helen doesn’t know where to turn.

George is grateful to Clarrie for inviting him over for dinner. He’s fed up with Will’s basic stews. George reveals to Clarrie and Eddie that Tilly came round yesterday to choose a guinea pig with her young cousins. Eddie’s proud of Poppy’s sales initiative. Oliver interrupts them and George has to leave the room. Oliver explains how bad things are at Grey Gables. Everything is in a mess and he needs to find £250,000 to rectify things. He really hopes it won’t mean he’ll have to sell Grange Farm but he can’t rule it out.

Helen admits to Kirsty she’s not in a hurry to get home. Kirsty reminds Helen of how much she missed Lee when he went to San Francisco but Helen’s not sure that’s really true. If she’s honest, she finds things easier to cope with when Lee’s not around. Added to that their relationship hasn’t felt romantic for a very long time. Kirsty suggests ways Helen and Lee could repair things but Helen’s not convinced anything will work. Kirsty implores her to talk to Lee.

Lee joins Henry on a game and asks how it went with Alan. Henry doesn’t think he was brave, just an idiot. Lee understands Henry’s anger and admits he’s feeling angry too. They agree they should both apologise to Helen. Later, when Helen returns, she asks Henry to head to bed because she wants to talk to Lee. However, Henry and Lee present their plan for tomorrow – a super-fun family day – to make up for a difficult week. Helen hugs Henry and tells him she loves him.
