Today鈥檚 choices include a resonant Bach arrangement from trumpet player Alison Balsom, a mystical blend of choir and organ by Pierre Villete, and a Doreen Carwithen sonata that sparkles in the hands of pianist Bengt Forsberg.

There鈥檚 also a delicate pavane composed by a 16th-century Milanese lutenist, and a vivid orchestral work by Ravel that draws on his Spanish heritage.

And while Eric Coates organises some wedding entertainment, William Alwyn takes a musical trip to the Cotswolds鈥�
