鈥淲hat,鈥� Sean asks, 鈥渋s the fastest recorded speed of a greyhound?鈥�

鈥淭hey can go 40-50 mph,鈥� says Eugene. "I went faster when my mother in law came to visit!鈥�

"Back of the class to you, Eugene. I鈥檓 not accepting that. We need a precise answer. I take it your mother in law is not listening."

鈥淚 used to know a greyhound man,鈥� says Davy in Bangor, "and as far as I remember the fastest a greyhound has been recorded running is 42 mph. It was a race in Australia. Other than that I can't remember, it was about 20 years since I've seen him!"

鈥淵ou hit the crossbar. You鈥檙e a mile slow. But I have to give you the certificate.鈥�
