Willow Weaving and Stained Glass
Des dreams of a career in willow but needs to channel his skills. Stained-glass artist Emily’s impostor syndrome is holding her back. Could advice from Dom and his team help?
Looking to change their lives today with the help of Dom and his team of mentors are former teacher and willow weaver Des and stained-glass artist Emily. Following an incident whilst teaching, Des had to take ill-health retirement, but he fortunately found a second career in willow weaving. With a wife, three kids and a dog to feed, he needs to make it work. Mentor Eddie believes he has the skills but needs to channel his efforts to help his business grow.
Stained-glass artist Emily wants to help support her family as she returns to work after having children, but having never had any formal training, she feels like an impostor. With mentor Derek’s help and tuition, will she gain the confidence she needs for a successful business?
Both makers are given eight weeks to follow their mentors’ advice, but can they make enough money from their new careers to help provide for their families?
