Pop Art Leather Work and Personal Portraits
Jo never quite found the right career until she discovered leather work, but can it bring in the cash? Can Jill fulfil her lifelong dream of making a living from art?
Today鈥檚 aspiring artisans are leather designer Jo from Essex and portrait artist Jill from Newbury.
Jo鈥檚 dyslexia and dyscalculia have prevented Jo from finding the right career path, but everything finally clicked when she discovered leather work. She鈥檚 got the design skills down, but mentor Andy needs to help her with the business side to bring in the sales.
Jill had to give up her dreams of being an artist at an early age. After a 22-year career in nursing, the time is right, but she needs help from mentor Sharon to find what makes her unique and build her confidence so she can begin to sell herself and her work.
Both makers are given eight weeks to turn their new careers into successful businesses, but can they bring in the sales to prove they鈥檝e got what it takes to make it in the creative world?
