Sharon Osbourne chooses her Tracks Of My Years
Music manager, TV personality and star of the cult TV show The Osbournes, Sharon Osbourne chooses her Tracks Of My Years. Plus there's another round of Ten to the Top at 10.30.
Music manager, TV personality and star of the cult TV show 'The Osbournes', Sharon Osbourne chooses her Tracks Of My Years all this week
Before appearing on our tv screens, Sharon managed her husband Ozzy Osbourne; started the heavy metal festival ‘Ozzfest’ and managed other artists including Motörhead and The Smashing Pumpkins.
Sharon burst onto our screens when she and her family starred in MTV’s fly-on-the-wall reality show ‘The Osbournes’ from 2002 to 2005. The show followed the day-to-day lives of Sharon, Ozzy and their children Kelly and Jack, and brought MTV its highest ever ratings in both the US and Britain.
In 2004, Sharon became a judge on the X Factor, joining the panel for four series before stepping down. She then returned for the tenth series, scoring her first win as mentor when her act Sam Bailey won the contest.
Sharon is currently bringing her one woman show ‘Cut The Cr*p’ to the Fortune Theatre in London and The Alexandra in Birmingham. In conversation with her friend Jane Moore, Sharon is revealing all about some of the hardest years of her eventful life and is being joined by a special surprise VIP guest each show.
Sharon's two tracks today are from Little Richard and Sam Cooke.
There'll also be more audio nuggets from the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Archive in Vernon's Vault; plus a brand new Album and Record Of The Week and - of course - there's the mid-morning music quiz, Ten To The Top.
Whatever you're up to, Vern wants to hear from you - email vernon@bbc.co.uk - and if you’d like to apply to take part in Ten To The Top, the address you need is tentothetop@bbc.co.uk
