'I’m looking a wee hessian bag…'
Listeners come up with suggestions to get their hands on a hessian bag.
Requests are flooding in for hessian bags from Willie the Whinge, Teresa in Dorking, Christine in Donaghadee, and many others. “I'm looking a hessian bag,” says Dermie. “My grandson is a paramedic student in Magee, I can send him round to the studio if you leave one out for me!” “I'm fortunate to have had one of the original hessian bags,” says Ron in Belfast. “I was in a petrol station and I was offered £10, £20, £30 pounds for it. I wouldn't part with it.” Davy in Bangor has a suggestion: “What about only giving them to your listeners who've been with you the longest? I think I would win that.”
“We discussed this with Big Larry,” says Sean. “He says we should have a competition. But what sort of a competition? How do we give these bags away when they appear? Maybe we should contact Stormont to get them to sort this out?”
With music by Chris Andrews, Bedrocks, Bryan Ferry, and more.
