Radio 2 Piano Room: Texas
Texas perform alongside the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra for Radio 2 Piano Room Month 2024. Plus another dive into Vernon's Vault after 10am.
In the third week of Radio 2鈥檚 Piano Room month, Texas perform from the Maida Vale studios, accompanied by the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra.
Sharleen Spiteri says, 鈥淲e are so happy to be part of the Radio 2 Piano Room Month. Stripping back songs to their songwriting beginnings hopefully will give people the chance to hear something new in the melodies and lyrics.鈥�
And double Michelin star-holding chef Tom Kerridge chooses his Tracks Of My Years all this week. Tom divides his time between his four restaurants and appearing on TV shows like The Great British Menu, Saturday Kitchen and Bake Off, as well as his own shows, Tom Kerridge鈥檚 Proper Pub Food, Spring Kitchen with Tom Kerridge, and Tom Kerridge鈥檚 Fresh Start.
Tom's latest project is the return of his music, food and drink Festival 鈥楶ub in the Park鈥�, which heads to Marlow, Chiswick, Reigate and St Albans this summer. This summer's line-up includes new chefs, new restaurants, new drinks and new experiences, and there'll be live music from the likes of Van Morrison, Busted, McFly, Paloma Faith, Sam Ryder, Gabrielle and Olly Murs.
Tom's first two choices are from The Beatles and Yazz.
