It’s the Young MasterChef final! The three remaining rookie cooks square off in two challenges that will shake things up and require next-level cooking. All they can do is lay everything on the line and expect some jaw-dropping surprises along the way. Things are about to get real.
It’s not going to be an easy ride, as judges Poppy O'Toole and Big Has kick things off with a gigantic task. The finalists must each recreate a recipe from top drawer chef Tom Booton, who at the age of 26 became the youngest head chef to ever run The Grill at the Dorchester Hotel in London. This is high-end food that can take years to master – but these cooks only have two hours. Do the finalists have what it takes to follow Tom’s recipe to the letter and plate up some killer food that both tastes and looks the part? This plate needs to be off the chart.
It's then time for the big finale. Just one mission remains: to cook the best ultimate two-course menu. It's time to put what they have learned into play and deliver a main and dessert packed with skill, technique and some seriously popping flavours. To pile on the pressure, Poppy and Big Has have invited some special guests who are already connoisseurs when it comes to tasting the finalists’ food – their families! Will they be proud as punch or throw some shade? One thing’s for sure: with five identical plates of each course to dish up, this will be the ultimate showdown.
All that’s then left is for Poppy and Big Has to pick their winner. Who has shown themselves to be a cut above the rest? For one young rookie, life is about to get a whole lot sweeter as they are crowned Young MasterChef champion 2024.
