Radio 2 Piano Room - Paloma Faith

Paloma Faith performs alongside the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra for Radio 2 Piano Room Month 2024. Plus there's another dive into Vernon's Vault after 10am

In the final week of Radio 2鈥檚 Piano Room month, today Paloma Faith performs.

Paloma released her double platinum debut record, Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful?, in 2009 which featured hits including Stone Cold Sober, New York and Upside Down. As an actor, she has appeared in St Trinian's (2007) and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), and was a judge on The Voice UK.

Paloma Faith, who will be performing a cover version of a Tracy Chapman song, says, 鈥淚'm delighted to have been asked to take part in 大象传媒 Radio 2's Piano Room this year. Maida Vale Studios is such an iconic space and I can't wait to perform my music, old and new, with the accompaniment of the amazing 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra.鈥�

Plus 'Line Of Duty' star Martin Compston chooses his ten favourite songs in Tracks of My Years all this week. First shooting to fame in Ken Loach's 'Sweet 16' back in 2002, Martin鈥檚 had a varied career on big and small screen, but he's perhaps best loved for his role as DI Steve Arnott in the 大象传媒'S smash-hit drama 'Line of Duty'. He's also had notable TV roles in Monarch of the Glen, The Nest, Traces and Vigil, plus he's appeared in The Damned United, The Wee Man and A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints on the big screen.

In 2022 Martin and his good friend Phil MacHugh toured his beloved homeland in the series 鈥楳artin Compston鈥檚 Scottish Fling鈥�, and this month Martin returns with a new six part series 鈥楳artin Compston鈥檚 Norwegian Fling.鈥�
