Who's Up For Ten To The Top?

Pop icon Lulu chooses her Tracks Of My Years. Plus Album and Record Of The Week and more Ten To The Top.

Pop icon Lulu chooses the songs that soundtrack her life all this week on Tracks Of My Years.

Starting her career with ‘The Luvvers’, Lulu had hits in the mid-60s with ‘Shout’ and ‘Leave a Little Love’; played alongside The Beatles, The Stones and The Kinks as well as becoming the first British female singer to perform behind the Iron Curtain.

After going solo, Lulu entered the world of acting with her debut in ‘To Sir, With Love’ before going on to present various ´óÏó´«Ã½ series. Other highlights from her storied career include representing the UK at Eurovision in 1969, recording a Bond theme and being awarded an OBE in 2000.

Lulu is off on her ‘Champagne for Lulu’ farewell tour in April, celebrating 60 years in music. The tour starts in Glasgow on the 9th and concludes at the London Palladium on the 17th.

Lulu’s two tracks today come from the Isley Brothers and The Beatles.

There'll also be more audio nuggets from the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Archive in Vernon's Vault; there's Record and Album Of The Week; and two more contestants try their luck in the mid-morning music quiz, Ten To The Top.
