The perfect classical half hour
Take time out with a 30-minute soundscape of classical music, featuring works by Britten, Bruckner and CPE Bach.
Take time out with a 30-minute soundscape of classical music, which starts today with a duet for organ by CPE Bach, followed by Schumann's 'Dream's Confusions' and Warlock's setting of the medieval poem 'I saw a fair maiden'. There's 'Evening Magic' for baritone, horns, and chorus from Bruckner, and Anna Phoebe takes us out to sea and 'Beyond Horizons'. The sound of waves crashing leads into Britten's evocation of dawn on the ocean, to end the mixtape on a note of calm.
