When 32-year-old Marlene Doyle is found dead in a Coventry flat after being reported missing by her mother, police turn to forensic evidence to identify her killer. A search begins immediately for her boyfriend Patryk Skupinski, with whom she'd been staying, while Marlene's body is removed for tests, and forensic officers search the address for any sign of an intruder.
With a combination of phone analysis, DNA evidence from clothing and the arrival of a witness, police gradually close the net on their suspect.
