On today鈥檚 show, novelist and screenwriter Alex Garland shares his 'First, Last and Everything' - that鈥檚 the first record he owned, the most recent one he's enjoyed and the record that means 鈥榚verything鈥� to him.

Alex Garland became known in the late 90鈥檚 with his novel 鈥楾he Beach鈥�, which was adapted into a film in 2000 starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tilda Swinton, and Robert Carlisle. He has continued to worked alongside Danny Boyle on various film projects, including writing the post-apocalyptic horror film 鈥�28 Days Later鈥�, starring Cillian Murphy. In 2014 he wrote and directed his first film, the sci-fi thriller 'Ex-Machina'. Alex talks about his new film 鈥楥ivil War鈥� and shares his musical enthusiasms.
