Marc Riley is joined by Lenny Kaye, guitarist and compiler of the legendary Sixties Nuggets compilation, in session and in conversation!

Lenny, who has worked with a wide range of artists over the years, is well known as the guitarist for Patti Smith. Over fifty years ago, he put together a compilation album of American psychedelic and garage rock tracks from the 1960s by bands such as The Electric Prunes, The Standells and The Seeds. Released on 2nd October 1972 and titled ‘Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era, 1965–1968’, the album was incredibly influential, bringing the tracks and psychedelic sounds to a new generation of musicians and music-lovers.
