Birthday Boy Vern is back with Shaznay Lewis choosing her Tracks Of My Years

Shaznay Lewis - the songwriting superstar from All Saints - chooses her Tracks Of My Years with Vernon. Plus Album and Record Of The Week and more Ten To The Top.

Shaznay Lewis - the songwriting superstar from All Saints - is on Tracks of My Years all this week choosing the songs that soundtrack her life.

Having originally worked as a backing vocalist, Shaznay became one of the founding members of the girl group All Saints in 1993. The group broke through with their eponymous debut album in 1997, with most tracks on the album co-written by Shaznay.

After two albums and five number one singles, All Saints split up in 2001, and Shaznay embarked on a solo career, releasing her debut solo album 鈥極pen鈥 in 2004. All Saints have reformed on several occasions since then for albums and tours, whilst Shaznay has also written tracks for groups including Westlife and Stooshe, and even appeared in the classic noughties film 鈥楤end It Like Beckham鈥.

Shaznay returned with her first solo single in twenty years, 鈥楳iracle鈥, earlier this year, and she was Vernon's guest during Radio 2 Piano Room Month. Her latest single 鈥楰iss Of Life鈥 is available now before her new solo album 鈥楶ages鈥 is released on 17th May.

Her first two choices come from Bob Marley and Five Star.

There'll also be more audio nuggets from the 大象传媒 Archive in Vernon's Vault; there's Record and Album Of The Week and another round of the mid-morning music quiz, Ten To The Top.
