A Joyous Exploration: Liam Bailey in Session

Cerys curates you an eclectic Sunday Selection and welcomes Liam Bailey to perform live. Plus Charlie Hamblett and David Le Page pop by with news of their Laurie Lee production.

Cerys curates you an eclectic Sunday Selection featuring vintage classics, hidden gems and new discoveries, ready for you whenever you need to escape.

This week Cerys welcomes Nottingham's Liam Bailey to perform live in session. Spotted by Amy Winehouse in 2005, his debut album Definitely Now was released in 2014 and blended blues and soul with Oasis riffs and Sam Cooke grooves. Still blending his Jamaican influences, reggae with funk and soul, Liam's latest album Zero Grace was produced by Leon Michels aka El Michels Affair and will be opening for Paul Weller on tour in the autumn.

Plus Cerys chats to actor Charlie Hamblett and violinist David Le Page who are working together on a new stage show titled Red Sky at Sunrise: Laurie Lee in Words and Music, which tells the story of the beloved poet and author who wrote the classic Cider With Rosie.
