Radio 2 Piano Room - Shed Seven

Britpop icons Shed Seven perform as The Radio 2 Piano Room returns for a run of summer performances. Also, bestselling author Marian Keyes picks her penultimate Tracks Of My Years.

Britpop icons Shed Seven perform from ´óÏó´«Ã½ Maida Vale as Radio 2's Piano Room returns for a run of summer performances.

Having released their first single in 1994, Shed Seven became one of THE best-loved bands of the BritPop era, with a string of hit singles and best-selling albums.

They split in 2003 but reformed in 2007, and this year, their latest album, 'A Matter Of Time', went to number 1 - the first time they've achieved that in their 30-year career.

To mark three decades in the industry, the band are heading out on a UK tour in November and December, and they'll be playing two homecoming shows in York this summer.

Playing alongside the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Concert Orchestra, Rick Witter and the boys will play a classic song, something new, and an unexpected cover.

Also, author Marian Keyes - who has has just published her latest best-seller, 'My Favourite Mistake' - chooses her penultimate tracks from her 10 favourite songs in Tracks Of My Years.

There'll also be more audio nuggets from the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Archive in Vernon's Vault; there's Record and Album Of The Week and and two more contestants try their luck in the mid-morning music quiz, Ten To The Top.
