Huw catches up with exciting Irish band Gurriers ahead of their live session later in the show. Plus there's a Home Run of tracks from the finest debut albums of tehe year at 5 o'clock and a special edition of the (New) Music Quiz Generator.
Gurriers met in Dublin and are releasing their debut album Come And See on September 13th. It features the singles Des Goblin and Approachable. The band are known for their wild live shows, having taken their name from an antiquated and somewhat charming Irish term for lout, ruffian, or street urchin. They formed in 2020 but didn't play their first show together until Halloween 2021 and since then have torn up festivals and supported the likes of Fat Dog, Goat Girl, Been Stellar and Enola Gay.
