Join Petroc Trelawny live from the Royal Albert Hall as the new day begins. He'll witness the hall door's opening just after 7am and explore the Stage, Arena and Gallery as they are prepared for this evening's First Night of the 大象传媒 Proms 2024.
He also looks ahead to another amazing season of live music-making in the hall, on Sounds and 大象传媒 Radio 3, highlighting great concerts including:
Elgar's Cello Concerto, which Finnish soloist Senja Rummukainen brings to the Proms with the 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra
Holst's Jupiter from the Planets, the complete suite performed at the Proms by the young musicians of the Sibelius Academy Orchestra and Royal College of Music Choir and Orchestra, under Sakari Oramo
Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream, with the complete incidental music coming to the Proms under the 大象传媒 Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the National Youth Choir of Scotland's chamber choir, and conductor Gemma New, in a concert that also includes Mozart's Clarinet Concerto performed by Anthony McGill.
