The women鈥檚 100m final was the day鈥檚 showpiece event, with Great Britain poster girl Dina Asher-Smith hoping to be in the mix against America鈥檚 Sha鈥機arri Richardson and Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. Legendary British gymnast Max Whitlock was seeking a fourth successive pommel horse medal, while US superstar Simone Biles sought to reclaim her women鈥檚 vault title.
Tennis medals were decided in the women鈥檚 singles and men鈥檚 doubles at Roland Garros, and some of cycling鈥檚 most familiar faces were in action in the men鈥檚 road race.
