86TVs & Nadine Shah in conversation

Felix and Hugo White from 86TVs and formerly of The Maccabees, and their long-time friend Nadine Shah join Huw to discuss both album each has released this year.

Felix and Hugo White from 86TVs and Nadine Shah join Huw for an in-depth conversation about their friendship and music.

86TVs are former Maccabees duo Hugo and Felix White, alongside their younger brother Will and drummer Jamie Morrison. They released their debut self-titled album in July, featuring the singles Someone Else's Dream, Worn Out Buildings and Komorebi. Felix and Hugo are joined for an in-depth conversation with Huw by long-time friend Nadine Shah, who released her acclaimed fifth album Filthy Underneath in February of this year and has live festival and headline shows coming up this autumn. Together, they discuss how they first met, how Nadine helped 86TVs sell t-shirts after a gig in Newcastle and other times they have crossed paths, as well as the shared experience of writing music influenced by the loss of a mother.

Elsewhere in the show Huw is joined by academic and expert Daniel Green for 6 Musicology, where we break down how the music we love is made. Daniel gives Huw a brief explanation into autotune in music - from the artistic to the criticised.

Also, another brand new quiz is created by Huw's Music Quiz Generator, giving one of you the opportunity to win a Music Sounds Better With Huw pinbadge. And Huw declares that your evening has begun with the Home Run playlist at 5 o'clock.
