Live from Edinburgh with Roger McGough, Ute Lemper and Frances Ruffelle

Nicola Meighan is joined by guests live from the Edinburgh Festivals, with poet Roger McGough, comedian Nabil Abdulrashid and singers Ute Lemper, Frances Ruffelle and Norman Bowman.

Presented by Nicola Meighan from Dynamic Earth, the 大象传媒's Edinburgh Festival venue.

Poets Roger McGough and Hollie McNish join Nicola ahead of their event at the Edinburgh International Book Festival.

The Scot and the Showgirl are West End stars Norman Bowman and Frances Ruffelle, their Fringe show tells the story of their relationship via songs. They're joined on The Afternoon Show's sofa by cabaret legend Ute Lemper.

Kimberley Prentice tells Nicola about her one-woman show Unseen, based on her experiences as a dresser backstage on Broadway.

Writer and performer Jaisal previews his play Boy in da Korma, about a half-Irish, half-Indian teenager convinced he is the reincarnation of Tupac Shakur.

Musicians Louis Abbott and Jo Mango discuss A Giant on the Bridge, a piece of gig theatre which has evolved from songwriting workshops held inside Scottish prisons.

New York cabaret singer Salty Brine performs songs from These Are the Contents of My Head (The Annie Lennox Show), the next installment of his Living Record Collection series of stage shows.

Comedian Nabil Abdulrashid is in Edinburgh for one night only - he joins Nicola before his show.

Babs and Laura Horton are mother and daughter and both playwrights with new work at this year's Fringe. Laura's is Lynn Faces, about a woman trying to get over an abusive relationship by forming a punk band; Babs has written In the Lady Garden, a play written, directed and performed by women over 60.

And Grant Stott, Alan McHugh, Gail Watson and Jordan Young tell Nicola about Chemo Savvy, their play inspired by their much-missed friend Andy Gray's experience of cancer and chemotherapy.
