Luffy and Nami refuse to believe that the Going Merry cannot be fixed and argue with the shipwrights. But the shipwrights are adamant about their assessment and tell Luffy to come back when he decides to buy a new ship. Then Luffy and Nami notice that their suitcases have been switched and that 200 million berries are gone. Lulu, one of the shipwrights, thinks he saw Kaku, who has a long nose, with the Franky Family, but Nami puts two and two together and realizes that Usopp has been kidnapped. Luffy takes off on his own to go look for Usopp, and Nami heads back to the ship to drop off the remaining 100 million berries. On the way, she finds Usopp who has been badly beaten up. He is devastated about losing the money that they were going to use to repair the Going Merry. Nami is heartbroken to see Usopp like that and tells him to wait there while she goes back to the ship to get help. But the desperate and enraged Usopp storms into the Franky House, the Franky Family鈥檚 hideout and workshop, to try to get back the money.
