Today, as part of Radio 3's British Music Map, Linton Stephens celebrates music from around the British Isles, and - inspired by Radio 3's Music Map - is joined by Sara Mohr-Pietsch to explore connections between some of her favourite British music. The programme includes music by Eric Coates, Benjamin Britten, Ethel Smyth, Hubert Parry, Grace Williams, Hamilton Harty, Thomas Erskine, Errollyn Wallen amongst others and culminates with a performance of Edward Elgar's First Symphony performed by the 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Sakari Oramo.
