Heat two is under way, and the four celebrities still standing are back to face three challenges that will truly test their culinary mettle. The stakes are high, as there are three quarter-final places up for grabs.
First stop is the Pairs Challenge. Split into teams, each pair will work individually to create a stunning plate of food that must be identical in both looks and taste. Here鈥檚 the catch: only one teammate will have the basic instructions of how to get the job done, so strong communication is the key to success. Dishes include a picnic board and a tiffin box, both full of tasty treats, so the celebrities will have their work cut out.
Hold on to your hats for the next challenge as the celebrity pairs venture off into the outside world, where they will be let loose in a professional kitchen. Spanish and west African cuisine are on today's menus. Fantastic chefs will guide them, but once lunch service kicks in, they will be on their own to deliver their food to members of the public. Reputations take time to build, so these chefs will be hoping the celebrities are able to master their dishes in record time.
After a tough service, the celebrities will return to John and Gregg, who have opened the Street Food Market shutters. The celebrities will each need to produce one dish they would serve from the hatch of their own food truck, guaranteed to draw in the crowds. It can be sweet or savoury, but it must be totally lip-smacking.
It will be game over for one contender as they are sadly sent home. The other three will continue the adventure of a lifetime and still be in with a shot of becoming this year鈥檚 Celebrity MasterChef champion.
