Neigh Money, Neigh Problem
It鈥檚 the halfway mark for this trip. Which one of our experts will dig out the profit-making antiques to win them this leg of the contest?
We鈥檙e fast approaching the halfway mark with Hettie Jago, Tim Medhurst and their delightful white replica Jaguar. This time, they begin in Henley-on-Thames, over 70 miles from their original setting-out point in Lewes. Tim is a dealer who鈥檚 travelled quite a few of these lanes before, while auctioneer and dealer Hettie is seeing a lot of this part of the country for the very first time.
En route, Hettie comes over all animal-obsessed, picking up a fairground carousel horse and an early 20th-century Chinese ink drawing of some pigs. Tim鈥檚 shopping is as eclectic as ever, with him settling for a granite mortar and a GPO clock with his name on it.
Today鈥檚 trip also includes a day out in Slough, where the very first zebra crossing was installed over 70 years ago, before its conclusion at an auction in Banbury. Who will come out on top?
