Presenter, Nicola Weir, travels to Ballyvoy just outside Ballycastle to speak to beef farmer, Dr R茅ama铆 Mathers, about keeping traditional breeds and making the best use of his species rich grassland at his 40 acre farm. Matt Lundy from Ulster Wildlife and Jonathan Houghton from Queen鈥檚 University Belfast are in studio to talk about a new Department of Agriculture and Environment strategy to tackle the declining populations of sealife predators and seabirds. The nature theme continues as Rose Cremin from Butterfly Conservation tells Nicola about a worrying decline in the numbers of butterflies in Northern Ireland and the threat to their long term existence. It鈥檚 also gone fishing for local schoolchildren as they get involved in the Fishing for Schools project which encourages young people to learn a new skill while enjoying nature. And it鈥檚 off to Cookstown to speak to Northern Ireland鈥檚 latest Nature Friendly Farming Ambassador, Brendan Neeson, at his 30 acre Creeve Cottage Farm.
