Remembering Willie Cromie

Remembering Willie Cromie, Richard Branson’s ‘visit’ to Rathlan Island and a little history from Dougie Beattie.

Helen Mark presents ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Ulster’s weekly Ulster-Scots magazine show alongside Jonnie Crawford, Rab Lennox and Willie Hill. This week the team remember Willie Cromie – a regular contributor to the show who sadly passed away recently. There’s some wonderful moments of Willie’s yarns in rich Ulster-Scots and a tribute from Sally Young.
Also this week – a history lesson takes us to the early 18th century and The Great Migration – and the story of Richard Branson’s somewhat unplanned visit to Rathlin Island.
As always, listeners are invited to contact the programme with a good Ulster-Scots yarn or event to talk about. The easiest way to do that is by email - kintra@bbc.co.uk.
