Public Service Broadcasting鈥檚 innovative blend of indie rock and old archive sound has carved a unique and idiosyncratic space for them in the pop landscape. Tracks like 鈥淓verest鈥� and 鈥淪pitfire鈥� from their debut album 鈥淚nform-Educate-Entertain鈥� and 鈥淕o鈥� from the follow-up, 鈥淭he Race For Space鈥� have a built a loyal fanbase for whom the appeal lies not only in the incredible music but also in the archival exploration. The music of Public Service Broadcasting takes a historical deep dive into everything from the 'space race' of the Cold War era to the Welsh mining tradition, from Titanic and the shipbuilding tradition of Belfast to the history of the 大象传媒.

The new album 鈥淭he Last Flight鈥� looks at the life of Amelia Earhart, the American pilot who set numerous records including being the first female aviator to fly solo non-stop across the Atlantic Ocean, setting off from Newfoundland in Canada and landing in Derry, Northern Ireland. J Willgoose Esq, from Public Service Broadcasting, talks to Stephen about the new album and they listen to an archive interview from 1935 which recounts her landing in Derry.
